Observation:

Observation is a way to gain information about children that can be used to build relationships, plan meaningful activities, and monitor their progress.

Developmental Checklists:

Young children’s development and progress occur at different rates and may follow different patterns. Understanding different patterns and rates of development help you encourage each child’s growth and development through the activities you plan and deliver. Developmental checklists help you monitor a child’s progress along a continuum of developmental milestones.
