ADM 5: Parent-Teacher Conferences
Overview
Informal daily communication is one way to build relationships with families, but more formal communication, like conferences or weekly newsletters, can strengthen existing connections. Routine communication keeps families informed about events in your program. Conferences, for instance, offer families a chance to discuss a child’s development, progress, interests, background experiences, and other topics contributing to their development and learning.

Requirement
Level 5:
Parent-teacher conferences are conducted at least twice per year and the teacher shares a work sample selected by the child.
