ADM 7: Instructional Support
Overview
Ongoing professional development is essential to those in the workforce because it develops the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities. Professional development equips early childhood educators with the appropriate knowledge and skills to deliver quality programs to children and families. It also allows teachers to learn new techniques and methodologies based on current research.
Studies have shown that effective, ongoing professional development for educators supports instructional practices and results in better overall instruction and improved student learning.
