Check your document one more time as you prepare to upload it to the Maryland EXCELS System.

Step 1: Check your document

Your document should include:

  • Individualized activities to address the developmental needs of each and every child
  • Activities informed by information from children’s IFSPs or IEPs, if provided

If a child’s name or other identifying information appear on your document, remember to remove it or black it out to maintain confidentiality and privacy.

Step 2: Save your document

Use a file name you can find easily when you upload it to the system (example: daily-schedule.docx).

Use any one of these formats:

  • Typed electronic version of your daily schedule or lesson plan (examples: Microsoft Word, PDF)
  • Scanned versions of your daily schedule or lesson plan (examples: PDF, PNG, JPG)
  • Digital image of your daily schedule or lesson plan  (examples: JPG, PNG, PDF)

Step 3: Upload your document (DAP 6.1; DAP 5.1 – School-Age Only)

Log into the Maryland EXCELS System to upload your daily schedule or lesson plan.

Select Button reading "Add a New File" then Select File before selecting Save button.
