Key Terms

Community Resources:

Community resources are the local places, organizations, and agencies that provide opportunities, information, and services to the benefit of children, families, and staff members. There are a wide variety of resources available in many communities including public libraries, local parks, parenting groups, workshops, local family-friendly events, and organizations to which a family may be referred when a need arises.

Referral resources:

Referral resources include a collection of information about agencies and processes related to suspected or diagnosed disabilities, suspected or diagnosed developmental delays, or any special health care need. This information can be provided to families as needed or requested.
