APV 1, Levels 4 & 5 (Pre-K)

Maryland has rigorous educational specifications to ensure that public school facilities provide quality education to all children. Maryland EXCELS builds on these specifications and recognizes participating programs that exceed the requirements in their commitment to quality and improvement.

Levels 4 and 5:

School facility is approved according to Educational Specifications per COMAR 23.03.02.14C to operate as a public school facility. No upload is required.

Documentation to upload: There is no required action or documentation to upload. School Approval is verified through MSDE records.

The requirements for levels 4 and 5 are the same. If you meet the requirements for level 4, you will be rated as a level 5 in APV 1.
