APV 2: Learning Program
Overview
To ensure safety and the optimal environment for learning, Maryland created specifications for class size and the number of children per adult.
Requirement
Levels 4 and 5:
The Prekindergarten program is provided by qualified, designated staff meeting COMAR 13A.06.02 requirements for class size and adult-to-child ratios. No upload is required.
Documentation to upload: There is no required action or documentation to upload. APV 2 is verified through MSDE records.
The requirements for levels 4 & 5 are the same. If you meet the requirements for level 4, you will be rated as a level 5 in APV 2.
